This interesting small house, aptly called ‘Gable House’ is built of stone with brick trim, the corbelling of the brickwork by the front door being noteworthy. ‘It was built in 1857 for Moses Frith. By 1865 R.A. Fiveash lived there and it remained in the hands of that family, including Rosa Fiveash, the renowned botanical artist, until 1938.
